Two car routes from Dnipro - to Zaporizhzhia and to Nikopol - have become high-risk zones due to regular attacks by Russian drones. Ivan Bazylyuk, a deputy of the Nikopol City Council, wrote about this on Facebook.
According to Bazylyuk, electronic warfare systems against drones in these areas operate with low efficiency. The work of anti-aircraft defense fire groups on unclosed sections of the highway is also associated with risk.
Among the typical means used by the enemy are "Geran-Seeker" series drones (modifications "Geran-2/3/4"). Their speed is over 250 km/h. The devices are equipped with stabilized cameras and an automatic target acquisition system: after the operator has fixed an object, the board independently tracks and hits it. The tactic of dropping FPV drones directly from larger carrier drones is also recorded.
Recommendations for drivers
On sections marked as dangerous (red), it is recommended to move at a speed of over 100 km/h - this complicates aiming and the operation of automatic guidance systems.
Gas stations are in a high-risk zone. It is necessary to monitor air raid signals, and the stop time at the gas station should not exceed 10 minutes.
In the near future, protective anti-drone nets are planned to be installed on the most threatening sections. The process is delayed, but the work will be carried out. Be as vigilant as possible. The war is closer than it seems, and the road now requires maximum concentration, - noted Ivan Bazylyuk.
