From July 14 to July 31, 2026, the public organization "ZooControl" will sterilize stray dogs in Ternivka. As reported by STEP, the goal of the action is to reduce the number of stray animals and prevent the spread of rabies.
Only professional dog handlers will be engaged in catching the animals. The animals will be transported to the operating site in specially equipped vehicles.
What the medical stage includes
Each dog will undergo the following procedures:
initial examination by a veterinarian;
rabies vaccination;
sterilization under general anesthesia using a tissue biowelding apparatus, which allows recovery in two days;
microchip implantation, ear tag placement, and registration in a unified register.
After the operation, the animals will be quarantined and kept for 5 to 7 days, after which they will be returned to the places of capture.

Residents of Ternivka can provide an address for capture by calling the press service of the NGO "ZooControl" at (099) 667-34-36. Calls are accepted on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00.
