The State Food and Consumer Service Department of Kamianske District has provided recommendations on what to do if a dead wild animal is found, especially during walks in a park or forest. Service specialists urge people not to touch animal remains with their hands, not to try to move them, and not to let children near the discovery.
According to the recommendations, if you come across a dead animal, you should:
keep children and pets away from it;
if possible, remember or record the location of the find;
report it to the veterinary service or local authorities;
avoid contact with the carcass or biological materials.
DPSS specialists particularly emphasize the need to pay attention to cases of mass bird or animal deaths, as this may indicate dangerous diseases.
