One person was killed and 13 were injured in a night attack on Kryvyi Rih. At least 12 apartment buildings were damaged in the Metalurhiinyi district, said Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.
Of the 13 injured, 11 were hospitalized. Among them is a 48-year-old man in serious condition. As of the morning of August 16, five remain in city hospitals; among the injured are two women.
Separately, two more people who were injured during the daytime shelling the day before are in hospitals - one is also in serious condition. Medical staff are providing all necessary assistance to all injured.
According to Vilkul, on the night of August 16, 2026, the enemy launched a combined missile and drone attack. The target of the attack was two industrial enterprises in the city.
Fires at the impact sites have already been extinguished. Debris removal is ongoing at one of the enterprises.
In addition to the city, the attacks affected the Shyrokivska and Hrushivska communities of the Kryvyi Rih district - fires also broke out there.
In Nikopolshchyna, the enemy used drones and artillery against five settlements:

In the Nikopol district, a 55-year-old man was injured. Infrastructure, an enterprise, an apartment building, and private houses were damaged.
