Myron Netrebka, a student of Dnipro Youth Sports School No. 9, won in the boys' under-10 category and secured a gold medal at the continental blitz championship. The information was released by the Dnipro Chess Federation.
The tournament took place in Poland. Over 900 young chess players from 32 countries participated. In the under-10 age category, 112 participants competed for awards.
According to the source, the victory is a significant achievement for both the city and the Ukrainian chess school. Myron Netrebka had previously won prizes at all-Ukrainian children's chess tournaments.
