The case against a resident of Dnipro and his parents, who are suspected of organizing the illegal sale of drugs, has been sent to court. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
According to the investigation, the scheme was organized by two men who had previous convictions for drug offenses. A resident of Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk district, was engaged in growing cannabis and manufacturing the narcotic substance. His wife sent the substance by mail, and their 25-year-old son, who lived in a dormitory in Dnipro, was to ensure its sale in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The fourth participant in the scheme lived in the Kyiv region: he sent empty containers of construction acrylic by mail, and in return received them already filled with the narcotic substance.
The investigation established that sales were made "hand-to-hand" in the Donetsk and Kyiv regions. The defendants planned to expand sales to the Dnipropetrovsk region, and considered military personnel among potential buyers.
During searches, drugs, money, bank cards, mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and ammunition were seized. Separately, the illegal sale of a grenade was recorded.
According to preliminary estimates of the investigation, in just two months, the participants sold about 300 doses with a total weight of approximately 3 kg. The indictment against all three defendants has been sent to court. They face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
