In the Dnipropetrovsk region, law enforcement officers detained a resident of Kamianske who worked as a doctor in a local clinic. According to the investigation, in 2016, he traveled to temporarily occupied Crimea and registered a medical institution there in his name.
Upon returning to Ukraine, the man, according to the investigation, continued to manage the clinic through controlled individuals. They conducted medical activities in the occupied territory from 2016 to 2026. The funds received, in particular, were used to pay taxes to the budget of the aggressor state.
"It has been established that over the past two years alone, the amount of taxes paid amounted to almost half a million hryvnias," the prosecutor's office noted.
The investigation also established that the clinic transferred money to a charitable foundation of the Russian Federation, which supports military units of the aggressor state fighting against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. During the authorized search, mobile phones and cash were seized. Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, he was charged with aiding the aggressor state, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The suspect is in custody without the right to bail.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Investigators are identifying all persons involved in the crime. According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until their guilt is proven in the manner prescribed by law.
