Forecaster Ihor Kibalchych from Meteoprog warns: dry weather on the weekend will increase the fire danger in forests. Throughout Ukraine, calm and partly cloudy weather without precipitation is expected on August 15-16.
The weather will be determined by an anticyclone and a stable air mass - they will last for two days. The wind will be light, and the temperature will gradually increase during the daytime, primarily in the west of the country.
Nights will remain quite cool and fresh. In the morning, short-term fogs are possible in low-lying areas and along rivers, Kibalchych specifies. In general, August 15-16 will see warm, dry weather during the day and cool nights.
After August 16, the anticyclone will shift to the Balkans and the Black Sea, and warmer air will arrive from the south, predicts forecaster Vitaliy Postryhan. Currently, the anticyclone keeps nights cool and daytime temperatures comfortable, but soon it will warm up to +30…+33°C in some places during the day. Nights will remain fresh: +12…+17°C.
