Four families from Marhanets, who run family-type orphanages, want to move to Dnipro – they are forced to do so by constant shelling and hostilities in the city. On August 14, the city commission considered the corresponding appeal from the mayor of Marhanets with a request to help these families.
This refers to the Zymnenko, Dubovyk, Dzyuba, and Postoienko family-type orphanages. The foster parents of all four families expressed their desire to settle in Dnipro.
Housing cost for each family
For the Dubovyk and Dzyuba family-type orphanages, additional living space for a child with a disability was taken into account in the calculation - hence the higher limit cost: UAH 12.6 million for each of these two families. For the Zymnenko and Postoienko family-type orphanages, UAH 12.1 million was determined.
The amounts were calculated based on the cost per square meter of housing in Dnipro – UAH 26,382, with the application of a coefficient of 1.75, established for the city. The total estimated need for state subvention for the purchase of four houses is UAH 49 million 307 thousand 958 - this is how much the city expects to receive from the state budget.
Separately, the commission considered funding for one newly created family-type orphanage in Dnipro itself, not related to evacuation. The limit cost of housing for it is UAH 12 million 96 thousand 147. The financing scheme provides for 90% from the state budget (UAH 10.887 million) and 10% (about UAH 1.21 million) from the city budget and other sources permitted by law.
Together, the cost of housing for all five family-type orphanages can amount to about UAH 61.4 million, of which more than UAH 60.1 million is planned to be attracted from the state budget.
Following the meeting, the commission decided to submit proposals to the regional commission of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, which will form applications for the distribution of state subvention. The minutes of the meeting must be approved by the executive committee of the Dnipro City Council. The draft decision on the purchase of housing for four family-type orphanages from Marhanets will come into force only after its adoption and official publication.
