In Dnipro, a car hit a pedestrian who was running across a crosswalk. As a result of the impact, the person was thrown into the air and then dragged across the wet road to the middle of the carriageway. This was reported by the Situational Center of Dnipro.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Donetske Highway and Myru Avenue. The video shows that the pedestrian tried to cross the road when the flow of cars in front of him was slowing down. However, the driver who was moving into the part of the crosswalk where the pedestrian was located did not have time to stop.
After the collision, the victim was thrown into the air and onto the highway. He was dragged across the wet road to the middle of the carriageway. The condition of the victim is currently unknown. Eyewitnesses report that an ambulance crew is working at the scene.
During bad weather, the number of accidents sharply increases. Citizens are urged to be as careful as possible - both drivers and pedestrians. The rainy season in Dnipro will last at least a week. A crosswalk does not guarantee safety from accidents.
