Environmental prosecutors of the Kryvyi Rih Eastern District Prosecutor's Office have filed a lawsuit with the Commercial Court for the return of the Zelenodolsk Reservoir and adjacent water fund lands to the state, with a total area exceeding 1600 hectares. The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that proceedings in the case have already begun.
According to the investigation, since 2022, a fish farming enterprise has been conducting economic activities on the water fund land plot and the reservoir without concluded lease agreements. The area of the water surface of the Zelenodolsk Reservoir is 1570 hectares.
The prosecutor's office is acting in the interests of the state; a final decision in the case has not yet been made.
