Seasonal restrictions for heavy vehicles have been introduced in the Dnipropetrovsk region to preserve road surfaces during the summer heat. The ban applies to trucks weighing over 24 tons and with an axle load exceeding 7 tons: their movement on state roads is prohibited when the air temperature exceeds 28°C.
The restrictions are in effect from 10:00 to 20:00. Drivers can wait out this period at special rest areas, of which there are 26 in the region.
The ban does not apply to military vehicles, defense equipment, special service vehicles, or trucks transporting live animals and poultry.
Compliance with the restrictions is monitored by the Patrol Police and Ukrtransbezpeka.
