The Chornobaivska poultry farm in the Kherson region was hit by an air strike: Russian occupation forces used several guided aerial bombs of the KAB type. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrlandfarming company.
As a result of the hits, a large-scale fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise, and the fire and explosions destroyed a significant part of the production facilities. Rescue services are working on site, and the consequences are being eliminated and the extent of the damage is being assessed. According to preliminary data from Ukrlandfarming, the damage amounts to hundreds of millions of dollars.
"Chornobaivska" is one of the largest and most modern poultry enterprises in both Ukraine and Europe. The facility has repeatedly been the target of attacks by Russian armed groups.
At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, during the occupation of Kherson region, the factory was completely de-energized and blocked. Due to the lack of feed and technical maintenance, 4.7 million birds died at that time. Occupation units also removed modern equipment and vehicles, and destroyed the production infrastructure. After the de-occupation of the region, the company resumed the operation of the enterprise.
