More than 90,000 schoolchildren in Dnipro have already used the digital student ID card. The card is available to students from educational institutions of all forms of ownership - state, communal, and private.
Currently, the city is accepting documents for issuing cards to first-graders. For the card to be ready by September 1, parents must submit the necessary data through the school in a timely manner.
The card is valid throughout the entire academic year. Travel is free for its owner on trams, trolleybuses, and subways, and there is a 25% discount on buses.
How to apply for a card
According to Mariia Shapoval, a representative of the Communal Enterprise "Digital Transformation and Automation of Information Processes of the City 'eDnipro'," the conditions are as follows:
The child must be officially enrolled in an educational institution.
Parents provide the class teacher with a high-quality photograph of the student and data for document processing.
If the card is needed in the "eDnipro" application, the phone number registered with the application (parent's or student's) must also be provided.
The school enters the data into the system. Parents do not need to register or fill out forms themselves.
The updated card appears in the application the day after the relevant data is entered. For new students, it takes several days to generate.
How to use the card in the application
Download the "eDnipro" application and authorize.
Go to the "Documents" section.
If the card has been issued and the phone number matches the one provided to the school, it will be displayed in the application.
Show the card to the conductor during your trip.
