In Kryvyi Rih, a 27-year-old man was detained after he opened fire on a car and inflicted bodily harm on a 28-year-old passenger. The police of the Kryvyi Rih district are considering filing a suspicion notice under part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). The detention was carried out in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The perpetrator fired from an object resembling a traumatic pistol. He fired at least seven shots at the car carrying his opponents. The car was damaged, and the injured person received medical assistance.
The shooting occurred after a fight near a restaurant in the center of Kryvyi Rih. A quarrel between several men escalated into a brawl, and when the opponents got into the car, the 27-year-old decided not to back down. This happened on August 6, around 5:00 PM, in the Central-City district of the city.
The investigative and operational group of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department collected spent cartridges from traumatic ammunition and surveillance camera footage at the scene. Witnesses are being interviewed, and the circumstances of the incident are being established.
The investigation is also providing a legal assessment of the actions of other participants in the incident.
