Kamyanske documentarian Viktor Zaslavsky made the film "The Song That United Millions" for the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
The film tells the story of how the words and music of the Ukrainian anthem appeared, and what a thorny path it went through to official recognition. The author refers to the figures of the poet Pavlo Chubynsky, who wrote the text, and the composer Mykhailo Verbytsky, the author of the music.
According to Zaslavsky's idea, the anthem appears in the film as a symbol of the struggle, unity, and invincibility of Ukrainians.
The screening is organized by the Museum of the History of Kamyanske on the eve of Independence Day. No registration is required, everyone is welcome.
