The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved a program for training civilians in the basics of national resistance, and it is already operating in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The courses have two duration options: 48 or 100 hours. Both formats combine theory with practice, and a certificate is issued upon completion.
14 training areas
The program covers 14 areas. Among those named are:
psychological assistance;
pre-medical care;
information security;
mine safety;
shooting training;
tactical training.
Classes are conducted by instructors with combat experience and relevant education. There are four specialized national resistance training centers operating in the region.
More than 2,000 residents of Dnipropetrovsk region have already completed the training - this was stated by Vitaliy Pohrebenko, Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, at a briefing.
The centers are funded from the regional budget under the Territorial Defense Program of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
