The Executive Committee of the Dnipro City Council has received for consideration a draft decision that aims to regulate road maintenance operations for the winter of 2026–2027. The document outlines three main areas: the formation of an emergency commission for rapid response, the approval of specific snow removal and anti-icing routes, and the designation of snow storage locations.
Commission and Routes
To coordinate winter operations, it is proposed to establish an emergency commission. This commission will include representatives from the city council, utility companies, patrol police, and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Hydrometeorology. This body will manage snowdrift removal and combating black ice in real-time.
The cleaning routes cover both banks of the Dnipro River – the right and left. Hundreds of streets and individual sections are included in the list: for each, the length and estimated volumes of snow removal and anti-skid material application are specified.
