Dnipro police detained a 66-year-old resident of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on suspicion of murdering an acquaintance. Detectives from the criminal investigation department of Police Department No. 2 of Dnipro RUP No. 2 identified the suspect and took him into custody. A "Flobert" revolver was seized from the man during the arrest.
The tragedy occurred on September 5 at a public transport stop in the village of Oleksandrivka. Two acquaintances had an argument right at the stop: first, the suspect punched the 67-year-old man in the face, and then went to his nearby summer house. However, the conflict did not end there.
Soon, the man returned - already with a weapon. He shot his acquaintance in the chest with an object resembling a pistol and left the scene. The victim was hospitalized in one of Dnipro's hospitals, but he could not be saved - the man died.
Suspicion and Qualification
Investigators informed the detainee of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional murder. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Main Department of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
