A 46-year-old resident of Dnipro found himself under investigation after law enforcement discovered that he was behind a TikTok account through which videos with the geolocation of Ukrainian Armed Forces units regularly appeared throughout July and August. For these publications, the man specifically registered a separate profile on the social network. The investigation is being conducted by the SBU in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and the case materials are under the supervision of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office.
Already in August, investigators identified the suspect and secured the blocking of further dissemination of dangerous materials. After the identification was completed, the man was officially served with a notice of suspicion.
The Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office qualifies the act as "obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period" - it is under this article that the man has been charged.
