A 64-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih named Viktor turned out to be the owner of a "Loto-Zabava" lottery ticket worth a jackpot of 1,000,000 hryvnias. The winning draw took place on August 16, 2026, but the man did not find out about the result immediately - he came to check the tickets at the point of sale after the drawing, and it was the saleswoman who told him that one of them was a winner.
Viktor bought the lucky ticket at the "SVIT LOTO" point at 38-3 Universytetskyi Avenue in Kryvyi Rih. On that day, the family celebrated two birthdays at once - his son's and grandson's, so the man bought three tickets for 30 hryvnias each. One of them brought him a million. Now Viktor is the 439th millionaire in the history of "Loto-Zabava."
A month to comprehend and modest plans
Viktor contacted the lottery operator only about a month after the draw. According to him, he needed time to accept and comprehend what had happened. According to MSL, the man lives on a small pension and additionally works part-time, so the win became significant financial support for him.
Viktor intends to allocate part of the funds to his health, and part - to give to his children. The first in the family to learn about the win was his son - and, according to his father, he took the news without much emotion. The winner does not intend to publicly receive the certificate: he wants to maintain privacy and refused to participate in the television broadcast.
Information about this winner was published by the state lottery operator MSL on September 8.
