The Museum of the History of Kamianske has launched the multimedia project "Museum of Abandoned Cities". Its goal is to preserve the memory of cities destroyed or captured as a result of Russian aggression, and to transform the experience of displaced persons into a cultural manifesto. The project is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (UCF) within the framework of the "Culture. Regions" program.
The exhibition will combine physical objects with digital media to create an immersive effect. Visitors will see graphic and painting works, as well as items from affected territories, which will be supplemented with thematic video sequences. Audio recordings of testimonies from people who left their homes will be played separately. Among the conceptual objects are the installations "Door to Nowhere", "Glass Dome", and "Seeds Under the Ruins".
In parallel with the exhibition, the museum plans to organize thematic guided tours with a curator, open discussions, and educational workshops for visitors.
The organizers will announce the opening date of the exhibition space in subsequent announcements.
