Dmytro Hrunskyi from Dnipro set a new Ukrainian record — the eighth in his career. This was reported on the athlete's Facebook page.
The achievement was recorded during the Interatletika Power Cup 2026 competition. Hrunskyi competed in the weight category up to 90 kilograms and chose the "Stairs of Strength" exercise for his record attempt.
According to the rules of the discipline, the athlete had to lift and carry heavy iron stacks. He successfully managed weights of 140, 160, and 170 kilograms, completing all 15 steps. The result has been officially recognized as a record.
Following this success, Hrunskyi announced his next goal — to compete in the weight category up to 105 kilograms and set a national record in it.
