At the "Tallinn European Open" tournament in Tallinn, the Dnipro club "Taifu Judo" won two awards. This was reported by the Department of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine in the Dnipro region.
Artem Bubyr, a 24-year-old athlete, won a gold medal in the under 90 kg category. On his way to the final, he defeated opponents from Great Britain, Moldova, and Finland. In the decisive match, the Dnipro athlete defeated his Ukrainian national team partner Ivan Kutenkov, earning two waza-ari scores.
Zaur Dunyamaliyev, 27, won silver in the under 100 kg category. He defeated athletes from Estonia and Italy but lost to Maksyms Duinovs of Latvia in the final.
Both athletes train under the guidance of Vitaliy Kharlamov and Serhiy Pliyev. In total, 252 athletes from 33 countries participated in the competitions held on June 6–7.
