The Pension Fund of Ukraine urges citizens who have work experience earned before January 1, 2004, to convert paper employment record books to digital format and submit the relevant information to the PFU by June 10. This concerns transferring insurance experience data to the electronic register, which simplifies the subsequent processing of pensions, as reported on the fund's website.
The PFU notes: the June 10 deadline is not a strict limitation — the acceptance of scanned documents after this date will not cease. At the same time, the fund recommends not delaying the procedure, as a delay may complicate data processing in the future.
Materials can be submitted in two ways: independently through the Pension Fund's web portal or through an employer who digitizes and uploads documents. To do this, you need to prepare high-quality scan copies of all pages of the employment record book, upload them to your personal account on the PFU portal, and check if the data is displayed correctly in the system.
You can check the document's status in your personal account on the fund's portal — in the electronic employment record book section. It displays scan copies, the status of digitized entries, and confirmation of information entry into the register.
Regarding insurance experience, the Pension Fund assures:
"Insurance experience will not be lost, even if the employment record book is not digitized by this date."
At the same time, the fund warns: records of work before 2004 may not automatically enter the electronic register, which could complicate pension processing.
Confirmation of experience without an employment record book
If the original employment record book is lost, experience is confirmed by other documents:
employment contracts
certificates from the workplace
information on salary accruals
extracts from orders
If the enterprise is located in an occupied territory or in a combat zone, experience can be confirmed by the testimonies of two former colleagues who have documentary evidence of their own work at this enterprise.
