Mobile operator Kyivstar is completing the shutdown of its 3G network as part of infrastructure modernization. The freed frequencies will be used to expand 4G, the company reports.
The shutdown will take place in two stages — on August 4 and August 18, 2026.

What subscribers need to do
Those who have not yet switched to 4G are advised to check their device settings and activate this technology in their phone menu. If the SIM card does not support 4G, it can be replaced with a USIM for free at the nearest Kyivstar store — the number will be retained.
