According to the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast police, on June 29, in Dnipro, a pensioner almost killed his daughter-in-law during an argument.
The conflict escalated into an assault: the father-in-law hit the woman on the head with a metal frying pan. The victim tried to escape by going upstairs and barricading herself in a room. However, this did not stop him: he found a metal rebar, followed her upstairs, broke the glass in the door, burst into the bedroom, and continued to beat his daughter-in-law.
The woman was taken by ambulance with severe injuries. The police detained the pensioner at the scene and have already notified him of suspicion. Under the article's sanction, he could face 5 to 8 years in prison.
