In Nikopol, public free Wi-Fi zones have appeared due to problems with mobile internet coverage. Mayor Oleksandr Saiuk announced that the network was launched so that residents could stay connected and be aware of the security situation.
You can connect to the internet in four locations:
Independence Square;
Trubnykiv Avenue ("Svit");
Youth Square (near the executive committee);
"Vlada" district.
To use the network, you need to select "FreeWiFi2" or "FreeWiFi5", and then click "Continue" in the window that appears. If the window does not open automatically, you need to launch the browser manually.
One session lasts 20 minutes. After the automatic disconnection, the connection can be re-established. The city council explained that such restrictions were introduced to evenly distribute the load on the network.
The network is planned to be expanded: new access points will appear in places with the largest concentration of people, the city council reported.
