Investigators gathered sufficient evidence and notified the suspect of suspicion of committing a crime. The article under which the proceedings were initiated provides for 5 to 8 years of imprisonment, as reported by the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The person involved in the case is a 38-year-old resident of Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, whose name is not disclosed. According to the investigation, he is involved in two thefts from stores, which caused local entrepreneurs losses of almost 20 thousand hryvnias.
The first episode occurred on July 16 in a home appliance store: the suspect took a charging station worth over 13 thousand hryvnias from the sales floor.
On July 18, he entered a building materials store, hid a power tool in his bag, and left without paying.
The case is being investigated by Police Department No. 1 of the Nikopol District Police Department. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
