The Ukrainian national team won a gold medal in the team standings among boys under 18 at the European Chess Championship in Pardubice, Czech Republic. The tournament lasted from July 26 to August 1. The results were announced by the Dnipro Chess Federation via its press service.
In total, Ukrainian chess players brought home five awards from the championship – three gold and two silver. The team competed in all four categories of the tournament: U12 Open, U12 Girls, U18 Open, and U18 Girls.
Dnipro native Artem Diachuk played as part of the U18 Open team - he was part of the gold-winning team. His coach is Chernov E. A.

The U18 category is considered the peak of youth chess: international masters and grandmasters compete here, who will soon transition to adult sports. The team format requires working for the collective result of the national team, and not just for one's own score.
