Pensioners who have reached the age of 80 receive a monthly age allowance of 570 hryvnias - there is no need to submit an application, the Pension Fund accrues it automatically.
The age allowance is a separate monthly supplement to the pension. In 2026, its amount depends on the age threshold:
300 hryvnias - after 70 years;
456 hryvnias - after 75 years;
570 hryvnias - after 80 years.
The allowances are cumulative: each subsequent amount includes the previous one. That is, after 75 years, a pensioner actually receives 156 hryvnias more than after 70 (the difference between 456 and 300 UAH), and after 80 - another 114 hryvnias (the difference between 570 and 456 UAH).
There are income restrictions. Pensioners whose pension reaches 10,340.35 hryvnias per month or exceeds this amount are not assigned the allowance. If the pension is less, but together with the allowance it goes beyond the threshold - only the difference is paid. For example, with a pension of 10,200 hryvnias, the allowance will not exceed 140 hryvnias.
The allowance starts accruing from the date of birth. If the birthday falls in the middle of the month, a proportional part is paid for that month, and the full amount from the next month. If the payment has not been received, the pensioner can contact the Pension Fund branch at their place of residence.
According to the Pension Fund, the average pension in Ukraine in 2026 is about 7,273 hryvnias. At the same time, almost a quarter of pensioners receive up to 4,000 hryvnias per month.
