A resident of the Dnipro district has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - driving a vehicle while intoxicated, which led to the death of the victim. The prosecutor's office has raised the issue of his detention without the right to bail.
The detainee is 48 years old. A blood test after his detention showed 2.9 per mille of alcohol.
After the collision, the driver did not stop and left the scene - the investigation considers this as a separate circumstance in the case.
The accident occurred on August 12, at about 5:20 PM, in the Dnipro district. The man lost control of a buggy and hit an 11-year-old girl who was walking on the roadside.
The child died on the spot. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
