On August 15, queues lined up in stores across Ukraine - cards were not accepted at checkouts. In some cases, funds were debited from accounts, but payment was not confirmed.
The failure was recorded on the morning of August 15, 2026. Payments via bank cards and terminals in supermarkets and other retail outlets either went through with delays or were not executed at all, and this was across all regions of the country.
PrivatBank confirmed the malfunction of several of its services. Bank specialists were working on restoring operations at the time of publication.
The bank's press service reported:
Currently, there are difficulties in the operation of several services, but our team is solving the problem. Soon everything will return to its usual rhythm.
