President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Serhiy Yakymenko as the head of the Kamianske District State Administration, replacing Oleh Karnatskyi. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine had previously approved his candidacy.
Yakymenko is 51 years old. Before mobilization, he worked in public administration and law, holds a Ph.D. in public administration, and has the academic title of associate professor. He is also a current deputy of the Kamianske District Council, holds the title of "Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine," and headed the public law enforcement formation "Angels" in Verkhnodniprovsk.
With the start of the full-scale invasion, Yakymenko joined the Armed Forces and fought on the front lines. In 2023, he was awarded the state medal "For Military Service to Ukraine."
The President signed Order No. 100/2026-rp on August 17.
