A 17-year-old orphan girl from Dnipro was left without a legal representative – her only guardian was mobilized. She is currently living with her grandmother.
The man left home, then called his ward and said he was being taken to the TCC. The girl independently came there with documents to explain the situation, but by that time, the guardian had already been sent to a military training ground.
The case is being handled by Oleksiy Urlatkin, the representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Dnipropetrovsk region. At his initiative, inquiries have been sent to the Left Bank Children's Services of the Dnipro City Council and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional TCC and SP. Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets also reported on the situation.
Lubinets emphasized that taking people to the TCC without notifying relatives is a problem, and such a case is not isolated and cannot be considered the norm.
