A resident of Kryvyi Rih, born in 1997, found himself in a critical situation after attempting to illegally cross the state border. The incident was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The man was prevented from reaching the border by mine-explosive and engineering barriers, as well as the difficult-to-pass marshy terrain of Polissia. Disoriented and exhausted, he wandered through the forest for several days without food or drinking water. Eventually, the man himself called the border service hotline and reported his situation.
After receiving the signal, servicemen of the 9th Border Detachment began search operations. The man was found alive, but extremely exhausted - he was given water and food on the spot. Now he will face court for attempting to illegally cross the state border.
