A 41-year-old resident of Dnipro has been notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "Robbery committed under martial law." The arrest was made in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The attack occurred on the evening of July 26, around 11:00 PM, in the Central District of Dnipro. The victim was a serviceman.
According to the investigation, the man struck the serviceman several times on the head to disorient him, then forcibly snatched property from his hands and fled. The stolen bag contained money, a mobile phone, and the victim's personal belongings.
After a call to "102," an investigative and operational group and criminal police operatives arrived at the scene. The suspect was identified and detained by criminal police officers of the Dnipro District Police Department No. 1.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for imprisonment from 7 to 10 years; committing a crime under martial law is an aggravating circumstance.
The police emphasize that unlawful actions against servicemen will be prosecuted with the full severity of the law. In February 2026, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a group of individuals who attacked a serviceman with the aim of robbery in the village of Vilne, Samarivskyi district, was detained under a similar scenario.
