The court ordered the detention of both suspects in the truck arson in Kryvyi Rih. Investigators informed them of suspicion of intentional destruction or damage to property, as reported by the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
According to the investigation, the young man and woman - both 22 years old - acted by prior agreement and expected to receive monetary compensation. This suggests an arson for hire.
Before the crime, the suspects purchased a flammable substance and doused the truck with it. The fire completely destroyed the vehicle's cabin.
The report of the fire was received by the police on July 24 at approximately 11:45 PM – in the Saksahanskyi district. Law enforcement officers from Police Department No. 4 of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department, along with State Emergency Service employees who extinguished the fire, responded to the scene.
Kryvyi Rih police detained both accomplices as a result of operational measures.
