Volodymyr Lysenko from Dnipro won a gold medal at the World Cable Wakeboarding Championship. The victory was announced by the Dnipro City Sports Department on Facebook.
The IWWF World Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships 2026 tournament took place in Beijing (China) from August 8 to 15, 2026.
The competition is held every two years and is considered one of the main events in cable wakeboarding. This time, about 180 athletes from 32 countries competed for medals.
By profession, Lysenko is a coach and instructor at the Sports School of Water Skiing and Wakeboarding. He combines his own competitive career with coaching and uses the experience gained at international starts to train his students.
